Veles is one of North Macedonia’s most useful inland transport hubs because it sits on the Vardar corridor between Skopje, central Macedonia and the south. Arrival Strategy

If you arrive by air, decide between direct SKP-Veles transfer and a Skopje connection. Direct transfer is easiest after dark, with luggage, with children or when your hotel is outside the centre. The budget route is airport shuttle or taxi into Skopje, then train or bus from Skopje to Veles.
