OpenStreetMap/Nominatim places Tamale Airport near Airport Road, Yilonayili, around 9.5566, -0.8631. Road routing gives about 19.0 km from the airport to central Tamale, 18.4 km to Tamale Central Market, 19.1 km to the Central Mosque, 21.5 km to Tamale Teaching Hospital, 19.4 km to Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, and 19.0 km to the Sagnarigu/Tamale College of Education side.

The airport is also only about 11.9 km by road from Savelugu, so travellers going north should not automatically route through central Tamale unless they need a hotel, bus office or city errand first.

Regional Routes From Tamale

Tamale To Bolgatanga And Paga
