The core airport move is Brampton Transit route 115 Airport Express from Pearson Terminal 1 to Bramalea Terminal. Route 115 Airport Express

Route 115 Airport Express is the main public route from Pearson into Brampton. Pearson lists the airport boarding point at Terminal 1 Ground Level – Column S2 and confirms route 115 from Pearson. Transit App’s route page shows the route running from Pearson Terminal 1 Ground Level to Bramalea Terminal, with typical total trip examples around 37 minutes in live-style data. Moovit also describes the route as Terminal 1 to Bramalea Terminal with about 34 minutes in captured route data.

Use route 115 when the destination is Bramalea Terminal, Bramalea GO, Queen Street/Züm, airport-area Brampton hotels, or when you can make a clean connection onward.

Airport-to-downtown Brampton by transit

For downtown Brampton, route 115 alone is not the final answer. Travel from Pearson to Bramalea Terminal, then connect west/north via Brampton Transit/Züm or GO depending on timing. If carrying luggage, a taxi from Bramalea Terminal to the hotel can be a good compromise: cheaper than taxi all the way from Pearson, easier than multiple local transfers.

Pearson taxi and limo

Pearson’s official taxi/limo page says airport taxi and limo services use guaranteed rates regardless of traffic or weather and include taxes. It also notes additional charges: $15 CAD for four or more checked bags or any oversize piece, and $15 CAD for five or more persons, with the driver required to inform passengers before loading and departing the terminal curb. Use the official estimator at the airport rather than negotiating curbside.

Taxi is best for late arrivals, hotels far from Bramalea Terminal, groups, children, heavy baggage, or destinations in western/northern Brampton.

Ride apps and car rental

Pearson also lists ride sharing, car sharing and on-site car rentals among airport options. Use ride apps for upfront quotes, but compare them against Pearson’s flat-rate taxi/limo system. Rent a car only if the trip includes business parks, Caledon, Niagara, Kitchener-Waterloo, or several suburban stops; for Toronto day trips, GO is usually easier than driving and parking.

Billy Bishop and Waterloo airports

Billy Bishop (YTZ) and Waterloo (YKF) can appear in flight searches, but they are not default Brampton airports. From YTZ, expect a Toronto-side transfer before GO/Brampton Transit. From YKF, car or GO/Kitchener-line planning may be relevant, but Pearson is normally the cleanest Brampton airport.

Brampton Transit, Züm And PRESTO

Current fares

Brampton Transit fares changed on February 9, 2026. The official fare page lists $4.75 CAD cash fare and $4.75 CAD contactless credit/debit fare, with exact change required for cash. It also says riders are encouraged to use PRESTO as a contactless payment form. The City’s fare-change notice gives the adult PRESTO e-purse fare as $3.55 CAD, weekly pass $39.50 CAD, and monthly pass $148.50 CAD. Youth PRESTO is $2.95 CAD, youth weekly $31.75 CAD, and youth monthly $123.75 CAD. Non-resident senior PRESTO is $1.85 CAD.

Children under 12 and Brampton senior residents have special fare rules; visitors should use the fare page and PRESTO settings before assuming eligibility.

Transfers

Brampton Transit transfers are valid for two hours. With PRESTO or contactless credit/debit, the electronic transfer is included automatically. Paper transfers are issued for cash payments when requested. The practical airport rule: if you pay at Pearson and connect at Bramalea Terminal, stay inside the two-hour window and use the same payment method.

One Fare

Ontario’s One Fare program reduces double-fare friction between participating agencies. Metrolinx says it includes Brampton Transit, GO Transit, MiWay, TTC, York Region Transit and others. Brampton’s transfer page says One Fare is automatically calculated on PRESTO and contactless cards when connecting with GO, and that passengers should tap the same card, phone or watch throughout the trip.

This matters for GO rail plus Brampton Transit, TTC plus Brampton Transit, and MiWay/Brampton cross-boundary trips. E-tickets and paper products can have different rules, so PRESTO/contactless is the simplest visitor setup.

Züm corridors

Züm is Brampton’s rapid-style bus network and is the backbone for Queen Street, Main/Hurontario, Steeles, Bovaird and other heavy corridors. For visitors, the key idea is that Züm links terminals and major GO/local points better than ordinary local routes. Use it for Queen Street hotels, Bramalea, downtown Brampton, Gateway Terminal and York Region-side connections.

Bramalea Terminal is the airport-transfer hub because route 115 ends there. Brampton Gateway Terminal

Trinity Common Terminal

Brampton Innovation District GO

Brampton Innovation District GO is the downtown GO rail point at 27 Church Street West. VIA Brampton

Airport taxi

Pearson official taxi/limo service is the reliable airport taxi starting point because the airport publishes flat-rate logic and extra-charge rules.
