KLCC Park is Kuala Lumpur’s most iconic “city oasis” — a lush green space right next to the Petronas Twin Towers, made for easy walks, skyline photos, and a perfect evening plan around the Lake Symphony fountain show. The park is a 50-acre urban sanctuary with amenities like a children’s playground (two acres), wading pool, jogging track, shelters, benches, patterned paths, and sculptures.

Quick facts 📍

  • Official hours: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM daily
  • Entry: Free (no ticket required)
  • Best time to go: golden hour → night (for skyline + fountain show)
  • Highlight: Lake Symphony musical fountains (inside KLCC Park)

What to do in KLCC Park (the perfect checklist) ✅

1) Watch the Lake Symphony fountain show 🌊🎶

The Esplanade (Lake Symphony) is inside KLCC Park and features musical fountains with 150+ programmed animations.

Light & Sound Show (daily):

  • 8:00 PM – 8:10 PM
  • 8:30 PM – 8:40 PM
  • 9:00 PM – 9:10 PM
  • 9:30 PM – 10:00 PM
  • 10:00 PM – 10:10 PM

Light-only fountain show (daily):

  • 7:30 PM
  • 8:30 PM
  • 9:30 PM

Pro tip: arrive 15–25 minutes early and grab a spot at the esplanade outside Suria KLCC (you’ll see the crowd lining up along the water).

2) Do the “Petronas skyline loop” walk 📸

This is one of KL’s easiest “wow” photo routines:

  • Start near Suria KLCC → walk deeper into the park → turn back toward the towers for skyline framing.
You’ll get a mix of green foreground + towers + reflections (especially after rain).

3) Families: playground + wading pool 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

KLCC Park is very family-friendly: it has a two-acre children’s playground and a wading pool (both listed as park amenities).
Bring:

  • towels / change of clothes for kids
  • sunscreen (there are hot, open sections)

4) Jog / walk for exercise 🏃

If you’re staying in KLCC, KLCC Park is the easiest place for a morning/late-evening walk/run with “big city views” — do short loops and finish with coffee in Suria.

(Trail length details vary by source, so I’m not pinning an exact number here unless you want it with official confirmation.)

How to get to KLCC Park 🚇🚶‍♂️🚌

LRT (most common)

Get off at KLCC LRT station (Kelana Jaya Line), then walk through Suria KLCC and follow signs toward the pedestrian tunnel / KLCC precinct.

MRT options

From the MRT Putrajaya Line, you can use Conlay (walk down Jalan Kia Peng) or Persiaran KLCC (then stroll through KLCC Park).

From Bukit Bintang (nice in bad weather)

Use the KLCC–Bukit Bintang Walkway (1.7 km) — covered, air-conditioned, CCTV-monitored.

Free bus (GoKL)

Take GoKL Green Line and get off at the KLCC stop in front of Suria KLCC.

Pedestrian tunnel hours (useful!)

The underground pedestrian tunnel connecting KLCC/Suria area is listed as open 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM daily.

✈️ Airport Connections: KLIA / KLIA2 → KLCC Park

Fast + simple route:

  1. KLIA → KL Sentral on KLIA Ekspres (official journey time: 28 minutes to KLIA T1).
  2. From KL Sentral, take LRT Kelana Jaya Line to KLCC station, then walk through Suria to the park.

(Some visitor info pages quote longer total time depending on service/transfer pacing, but the Ekspres non-stop timing is officially 28 minutes.)

Best time to visit ⏱️

  • 4:30–6:30 PM: best photos + softer light
  • 7:15–10:10 PM: fountain show window (choose 1–2 showtimes)
  • Weekdays: less crowded than weekends (usually)

Common mistakes ⚠️

  • Arrive “whenever” and miss the fountain schedule → plan around the exact showtimes.
  • Stand too close to the water at the front row → you may get mist (fun, but not for everyone).
  • Try to walk everywhere in midday heat → use LRT/MRT + short walks.
