Grand taxis are central to Oujda’s regional role. They are useful for Berkane, Saïdia, Nador, OUD airport, NDR airport and towns not served cleanly by rail. Always confirm whether you are paying for one seat, multiple seats or the whole car.

For Saïdia beach, summer demand can change prices and waiting times. For Nador or NDR airport, the road leg is long enough that a private transfer should be quoted carefully. For Berkane, shared options may be easier, but departure points and timing should still be confirmed locally.

Choosing Between OUD, NDR, ONCF and Road Routes

Oujda has several competing gateways, and the cheapest ticket is not always the best arrival. OUD airport is the cleanest choice when the final destination is Oujda city, Berkane or Saïdia. It keeps the first transfer short and avoids a long cross-region road leg after landing.

For regional grand taxis, ask by destination rather than by generic station name: Berkane, Saïdia, Nador, Ahfir or the exact town. A shared seat, a partially filled car and a private hire can all sound similar in conversation but price very differently.

For rail-to-bus transfers, do not let the short map distance create a rushed connection. CTM is close to the station side, but a coach ticket still has check-in, luggage and boarding rules. Stay near the medina if old-city atmosphere and walking access matter more than transport convenience. Use taxis for station and airport transfers.

Stay near Parc Lalla Aicha for a quieter city base with easy taxi access. It is less station-focused but comfortable for local movement.

Stay near the gare routière only if an early bus departure makes it necessary. Most visitors are better off near the station/centre and taking a taxi to the bus station.

Stay outside Oujda only if the trip is really about Saïdia, Berkane, Nador or a resort/coastal route. In that case, quote the onward transfer before booking the flight.
